I was just reading about Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees a few nights ago, perusing an article about how he’s the leading candidate for MVP in Major League Baseball after having such a monstrous 2022 season. After hitting 62 home runs, I think it’s well deserved. Writing that takes nothing away from the equally extraordinary unicorn that’s Shohei Ohtani of the California Angels, who’s both an elite pitcher and hitter, but when home run records fall without performance enhancing drugs, I think that greatness needs to be recognized.
Just look at this guy. 6’ 8”, 283 lbs. What a beast.
That’s one baaad baaad man who does some serious violence to that poor little ball. The ball never stood a chance.
So as I was reading, I began to pivot. I pivoted because OXY’s earnings were due out shortly, and when they landed, the Buffett’s baseball quote came to mind.
